The vision...

Building a new school in Nepal

A message from the Chair of Learning for Life:

In the devastating earthquake on 25th April 2015, twelve of Learning for Life’s schools in the rural area of  Makwanpur, Nepal   were completely destroyed.

It seems fitting, two years on from this disaster, to announce our plans to open The Dan Doherty Memorial Shool, in partnership with Dan’s husband, Neil Fullbrook. This school will educate vulnerable children from marginalised communities who have either dropped out of school or never attended, so they can catch up on the education they have missed and become re-integrated into the mainstream education system. For more information on the the location of earthquake in Nepal and the situation in the year since, please click here.

The Dan Doherty Memorial School will be officially opened on 20th February 2017 by Neil.
